"A night of love. Fantasy or Fateful Alliance?
Miranda Stuart is lushly built, hauntingly beautiful, career-oriented, and extremely intelligent, but thanks to a teenage crush on Alex Denning, a man who was way out of her league, she acts out of character when they meet up years later at a posh resort. She determines to have her fantasy night in his arms. When the night’s magic should have begun (unbeknownst to him) our dashing, billionaire playboy enters the scene with bright lights blaring and another woman in tow. Had she just set herself up for blackmail? "

Lorraine Nelson is a multi-published, award-winning author of romantic suspense who lives in rural New Brunswick, on the east coast of Canada. Always a bookworm, she’s read many novels of romance and mystery over the years, finally deciding to put her pen to work and write them instead.
“To write romance and romantic suspense is my dream come true, although my mom says I was born with an avid imagination and pencil in hand, crafting stories from an early age. Now my children have grown and have lives of their own, I have time to indulge my passion for writing.”
Lorraine enjoys spending time with her three sons and six grandchildren. When not at the computer typing away, you can find her spending time with family, gardening, baking and, of course, reading.

All Book Candy asked... She Answered...
How did you come up with the idea for Daydreams and Night Scenes?
I honestly don’t remember. I started writing it back in 2009, but it never released it until recently, and boy was I surprised. I’d forgotten some aspects of the story as I basically wrote it and set it aside. I really enjoyed reading it through, though I thought it would be a nightmare to edit. I’ve learned a lot since I began writing for adults.
Anything special happening this month?
Yes! If you could please take a few minutes to pop on over to Kindle Scout? Daydreams and Night Scenes is a contemporary romance and the first chapter is live for you to read. If you like it, please nominate it for a publishing contract with Amazon. If it wins, I get the contract and you get a free ecopy from Amazon.

What inspired you to begin writing?
Writing – my passion, my dream. I’ve always written but only started writing adult fiction as a hobby six years ago while on medical leave for hand surgery. With the aim of gaining more flexibility in my fingers, I began doing typing tests and such. Easily bored, an idea came to mind and I just sat at the computer and started writing. When I finished that first manuscript seven weeks later, Love on the Rocks was born and I was thrilled!
What is your favorite place to read a good book?
I have a Lazyboy recliner in front of the window in my room and it is soooo comfy. That is THE most perfect spot to sit back with a book or my ereader and read. (Confession time…I still prefer print books when I’m home.) J
If you had to write something outside of your usual genre what would it be?
I think it would be life lessons for teenagers/young adults.
What is your favorite book by another author?
I have many, many favorite authors and books, but I’d have to say Kaleidoscope by Danielle Steel.
What is your favorite candy?
A.B.C., you kill me! I am diabetic, but I do indulge now and then. I love candy and sweets of all kinds except for those hot little cinnamon hearts that make you feel as though you’re breathing fire.
What are some of your other current titles?
I currently have 32 titles available. Please visit my website for titles, blurbs, excerpts, and reviews. http://lorrainenelson.weebly.com
What’s next for you?
I have several books on the go at any given time but am focusing on A Cowboy’s Drive, the 8th book in my Thunder Creek Ranch series with Evernight Publishing.
What Advice do you have for new writers?
Be yourself and write what you love to read/write. Research your topic if needed and don’t be afraid to ask questions. That’s how we learn. Just post them below. Don’t pinch yourself into a niche or genre just because it’s popular at the moment. And be ready to keep learning. Lol
